This web site is for ex-pupils of the British School of Brussels who want to get in touch with each other or just find out what we are all up to now.

Those of us who have set this up left the British School of Brussels in 1982/3 in yr 13 (see contacts, below) so we would like to hear from anyone else in a similar year. On the 19th February 2012 I received the following message:

I have come across your website bsb2000.co.uk the BSB alumni community, which is breach of a multitude of european and international privacy laws. All of your members private and sensitive information is available to non-members, I also know that it isn't registered or controlled by someone registered with the ICO. It seems like the website isn't being used anymore however this doesn't mean that who ever is in charge of it is not liable to any judicial enquiries. If you need help either securing the data or removing it please let me know or else I will be obliged to inform the relevant authorities.

While I don't like to give in to threats and blackmail, since Christopher felt so obliged to report me to the authorities and I have better things to do with my time, I have decided to remove the data.

With the likes of Facebook available the site had become less relevant, but I do find it sad that people like Christopher make it impossible for groups of friends to set up their own communities on the web. Another win for government bureaucracy, and big business over individuals I fear.
